If you want to drive trucks in the Netherlands professionally you must take a course with code 95 (initial qualification, kwalifikacja Wstepna). This training ends with a governmental exam.

This can be completed in England, Scotland or Wales. The CBR will issue the RDW the Certificate of Periodic training (Verklaring van Nascholing or VVN in Dutch) once you have completed your periodic training. The municipality will then have to renew the code 95 indication of your Dutch driving license.
Exams
As per Directive 2003/59/EC, all drivers of buses (categories: D1, D1E and D) and trucks, tractor trailers, or commercial vehicles (categories C1, C1E and C) who provide transport services daily are required to complete Code 95 training. After the 35-lecture theoretical training course is completed the Code 95 certificate or licence is issued. This is valid for five years. This allows drivers to operate commercially within the European Union for both goods and passengers.
The Code 95 training consists of two parts of theory and practice. Through theory you will be taught how to operate an tachograph, the rights and responsibilities of the driver and first aid, the procedure for passing customs inspections and more. You will also receive a comprehensive training in the driving school. This includes manoeuvres on site, coupling and decoupling with tractor tractors, and city driving. You will be required to take an examination at the end of your course. The exams are administered by the state commission that deals with the transport sector.
You can ask your local authority (in Dutch, RDW) to include the code 95 on your driving licence after you have completed the course. You will need to attend regular training (nascholing in Dutch) at minimum every five years. The CBR will inform your municipality once you have completed the Code 95 training.
To be able to get the code 95 on your driving license, you have to have a basic qualification of C (truck driver). You must pass both the theoretical and practical tests in order to be able to pass.
